Corporate Profile - AT&T

Posted on 6/10/2015 by California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce

AT&T understands the unique needs that small businesses owners have when it comes to running their businesses. We know the important role that technology plays in helping small businesses grow, while keeping revenue high and costs in check. We know how important it is that technology be reliable and current, and are committed to providing you with the cutting-edge technology you need to get the job done. AT&T is constantly finding new ways to help business owners succeed in today’s marketplace. This year, AT&T is providing two more valuable resources for small and midsize business owners in California.

AT&T Expands into Mexico
This year, AT&T acquired Mexican wireless providers Iusacell and Nextel Mexico. AT&T will integrate Iusacell and Nextel into one company focused on bringing more choices, better service and faster mobile Internet speeds to more locations throughout Mexico. AT&T plans to create the first-ever North American Mobile Service area, which will cover more than 400 million consumers and businesses in Mexico and the United States.[1]

For families and businesses that span the border, AT&T will be the only company with an advanced mobile network – built for video – across both countries.[2]

We believe that will benefit Mexican customers by bringing more wireless competition to Mexico along with an improved mobile Internet experience. Also, AT&T is now offering unlimited calling from the U.S. to all Mexican numbers for only $5 per month with AT&T’s enhanced World Connect Value plan.  Mexico is the most frequently dialed country among AT&T wireless customers, and this is a way to show appreciation to our customers.

AT&T Mobile Office Suite for Small and Midsize Businesses
Last year, AT&T and the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council conducted a survey of small businesses and found that mobile apps save almost 600 million hours annually, while smartphones and tablets save nearly 2 billion hours.[3] Most respondents believe that mobile devices, particularly smartphones, are providing their business a competitive advantage.
This March, AT&T and Microsoft announced a solution for small and midsize businesses that dramatically improves their ability to keep their workforces connected and productive: AT&T Mobile Office Suite. This integrated, mobile, cloud-based solution allows small and midsized businesses to leverage collaboration technology that was once out of their reach. It can help them change the way they communicate and collaborate by using email, voice, video or web – regardless of the endpoint. This all-in-one bundle is available for a predictable, flat monthly rate on any new or existing AT&T Windows Phone, iOS or Android smartphone or tablet. [4]

AT&T is committed to help small and midsize businesses flourish in California and will continue to provide the best solutions to our business customers.
